Nothing But Blue Skies was set just two weeks after the events of Blue Bird, where we finally got our wish and got Jisbon! (We really need a better name for it, but oh well). Jane and Lisbon are called in early from their time off to solve the murder of an undercover agent. Lisbon wants their relationship to stay a secret, and Jane agrees. They solve the case, Marcus Pike shows back up, and there's a vintage car. That's pretty much it, I guess.
Oh, I also enjoyed Jane's defensiveness of Lisbon. "You don't have to talk to her like that!" It was sweet to see his reaction, especially the way he wouldn't let it go either.
And finally, I loved that Jane was honest enough to admit he didn't have a plan, that he just wanted them to go along at their own pace, with what feels right for both of them. That is how a relationship is supposed to be, not planned out to the minute. And then he had a nice surprise for her in the form of the car her grandfather had loved and given her a model of for graduation!
Hmm, in terms of what could have been better, or I didn't like, I guess I would've liked to see more cuddling or something else when they were alone, just because we've waited for them to get together for about six years. I also miss Kim Fischer, even though I didn't think I would. I do like her message for Lisbon though.
So, overall, a good episode and I cannot wait for the rest of the season!
